Join us for a
One-Day Rapid Scenario Development Workshop
on Hawai'i and our Future

This is a day of exploration, creativity and adventure. Scenarios are stories that we tell to help us understand complex environments. Scenario planning is a device for ordering one's perceptions about alternative environments in which one's decisions might be played out. Their power comes from being focused, customized to a context. Our context for this event is the future of Hawai'i.

Our imagination will be drawn in to this complexity by means of several fun and simple exercises. We will be guided through these exercises by Judi Clark, with assistance from Burt Lum. Judi has been involved with Internet and communications technologies for over 30 years. She trained for scenario planning at Global Business Network (a pioneer in the evolution and application of scenario planning), and has been working with scenarios and future-thinking for 14 years. Burt has been in involved with technology, telecom and the Internet for the past 30 years. He has worked with the HMSA Innovation Center, Hawaii Telecom, and Maui Performance Computing Center and started one of Hawaii's first Internet data centers.

What others have said:

I attended Judi's one-day scenario planning event on the future of sharing information over the Internet. The event was fascinating and informative. Judi's leadership skill kept us on track and ensured a smooth process. I learned far more than I thought I would in just a day. More importantly, I gained practical insights that were immediately put to use and now have a much better understanding of the larger arc of events impacting this space. I'd do it again!

Judi put together a great workshop with a well balanced set of participants that covered a whole lot of ground very quickly!
